Karnival Kewangan Kedah, 19th to 21st January 2018
The Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) participated in the “Karnival Kewangan Kedah” which was hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) from 19th to 21st January 2018 held at TH Hotel and Convention Centre Alor Setar, Kedah.
The carnival themed “Utamakan Keperluan Kewangan Anda” aims to elevate public’s awareness on financial services, financial literacy and consumer protection. The carnival was officiated by Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Muhammad bin Ibrahim, Governor of BNM.
More than 1700 participants visited OFS booth during the 3-day carnival which was manned by Mr.Suresh, Mr.Thevan, Ms.Malini and Ms.Shafinas. A brief explanation on our role and services were highlighted to all visitors. In addition, we had also participated in a pocket talk on OFS services.
The closing ceremony was attended by Y.Bhg Dato' Wira Othman bin Aziz, Deputy Finance Minister 1 alongside BNM Deputy Governor Mr.Abdul Rasheed bin Abdul Ghaffour and BNM Assistant Governor Mr. Abu Hassan Alshari bin Yahaya.
Overall, OFS participation in the carnival was a success and we were able to create greater awareness on services of OFS.
